We empower creators to share their Recipes on Clove
When you share your Recipe with Clove and its users, you agree to license the Recipe to us on the following terms. These license terms enable us to promote your work, protect your rights and ensure a fair experience for everyone:
Ownership
Your Recipes are yours, always. You retain all intellectual property rights in your Recipe and may share or use them outside Clove whenever you like.
By uploading a Recipe, you warrant that you have the necessary rights to it, and that it doesn’t infringe third-party rights or violate the law.
When you upload Recipe, you grant Clove a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, translate, distribute, promote, publicly display, sublicense, modify and create derivative works to provide, market and improve the Clove Services.
Recipe means Recipes you upload to Clove (including images), your biography, and your third party bio links (including to eBooks or hard copy).
How we use your Recipe
Engagement: Popular Recipes may be featured on Clove’s homepage, in search results, or in marketing campaigns, including email and social media.
Translations: Recipe may be translated into other languages to inspire cooks globally.
Dynamic features: Clove may adapt Recipe using features such as smart scaling, unit conversions, and personalization to enhance user experience.
Improving the Service: Your Recipes may be analyzed by us and machine learning systems to improve discovery, personalisation, and platform functionality.
Attribution
Clove will credit you as the creator of your Recipes. However, users of the Clove Service may not always be required to attribute you when using or sharing Recipes from the platform.
You agree to waive any moral rights you may have in your Recipes as necessary to allow Clove and its users to share your content in connection with the Clove Service.
Content Removal
You can remove your Recipe anytime, but if your Recipe was featured in our marketplace, it may stay visible for up to 28 days to ensure a seamless cooking experience for users who already started using it.
Prohibited Content
To keep Clove a respectful and creative community:
No Copying: Do not upload Recipes that you do not own or have the rights to share.
No Misrepresentation: Do not falsely claim endorsements or affiliations.
No Unauthorized Commercial Use: Recipes uploaded to Clove cannot be used for commercial purposes without Clove’s permission. Avoid sharing Clove-hosted Recipes on competing platforms.
