Clove now has 1000 creator recipes and announces partnership with Hardie Grant Books

After launching the Clove app on Apple and Android, online cooking platform Clove has announced it now has 1000 creator recipes from 40+ creators and has partnered with Hardie Grant Books as its first major publishing partner.

Clove’s new app is designed to reimagine how busy families and professionals plan, shop, and cook their weekly meals. Founded by a team of Canva alumni, Clove aims to reduce the mental load of cooking by bringing the entire process from discovering and saving new recipes – to planning, shopping and cooking into one simple platform.

Clove’s new cooking app is now available on Apple and Android

Clove opened its creator program during its beta phase, providing creators with free tools to convert and publish their recipes online, creating an easy-to-use alternative to maintaining a blog.

“There are so many great platforms out there today for sharing recipes and cooking knowledge – and demand is blowing up. However one of the challenges for home cooks is that many of these platforms are not always designed for cooking, which is where Clove fits in. We make it easy for creators to instantly convert their existing recipes or easily create new ones in a beautifully simple format tailored for home cooks,” says Anna Guerrero, CEO & co-founder of Clove.

Clove’s publishing tools are available for any creator to use, allowing them to host their recipes in a cooking friendly format for free. The platform operates with a curation model, where all featured recipes require review and ownership checks to be surfaced publicly.

At a time when recipe creator rights are at the centre of national debate, Clove is taking a pioneering step toward a fairer content ecosystem, signing a unique agreement with Hardie Grant, leading independent and the publisher behind some of the world’s most beloved cookbooks. The partnership will see Clove access a curated selection of recipes from Hardie Grant’s iconic catalog, making them accessible to Clove users, as well as creating a new digital revenue and audience opportunity for published creators.

“We’re excited to partner with Clove to give our authors an amazing new platform for their work to reach an audience beyond the book. Clove combines book-quality recipes and imagery with a seamless digital experience, all while fairly recognising and benefiting the creators. We’re looking forward to working together to bring more and more high quality recipes into the app over time, ” said Nick Hardie-Grant, Managing Director at Hardie Grant.

Home cooks can now discover more than 1000 recipes from over 40 creators on Clove, including social media influencers, nutritionists, educators and now best selling cookbook authors such as Danielle Alvarez, O Tama Carey, Meatsmith, Emiko Davies, Sunday Kitchen, Cornersmith and more. New recipes from the Hardie Grant Books partnership will be rolling out over coming weeks.
