Was intimidated to make French toast, but no need. Was so simple. No finished photos because they were eaten too fast!! Served with maple syrup and fresh berries.

This was super quick and easy to cook! The cinnamon was a great addition. I usually have savory French toast but this sweet variation was delicious!

So easy and so tasty. I was trying to be good and not put extra butter and heaps of maple syrup but I think you definitely need them! Made it in my plain sourdough bread but be definitely lovely on brioche.

Just delicious 😋

Kids loved it so much that I ended up turning a whole loaf of homemade sourdough into French toast. We had it for morning tea with maple syrup but some yoghurt and berries would have been nice.

I love french toast, but never tried it with sourdough bread. It's really good. I cut the crust of as it felt very hard. Served with banana, cottage cheese and of course maple syrup.

I’ve only had savoury French toast before (salt and pepper), but I’m so pleased I tried this! It was absolutely delicious and made a great lunch. I used three slices of bread as there was enough of the egg mixture to do a third slice perfectly.

I used small sour dough pieces and found I had enough for a third piece although that had less of the cinnamon in the mix. The melting butter and toasting cinnamon made a yummy smell in my kitchen. I finished it with a generous serve of golden syrup, as I didn't have maple and it was delicious. You could even use honey and seeve with fresh berries if they are in season.

Thanks for tip to add cinnamon. Drizzled honey on top. Yum!
